How to Control Oily Skin: Garnier Pure Sauna Self-Heating Mask Review

Garnier Pure Sauna Self-Heating Mask Review

Oily skin? This IS an issue. Oiliness is next to ugliness. MUST always keep a clean, fresh face.

You know how your face gets too oily that it seeps through your make-up? Problems with getting your BB cream/foundation to last?

Garnier Pure Sauna Self Heating Mask is probably one of the most amazing product I’ve ever tried that has been poorly advertised. I use this twice in a week if my problem with being too oily gets worse than normal. Oily skin is hard to get rid of instantaneously. But this product does it.

Buying one pack actually gets you two sachets which means that you can use this product at least twice. Usually, I share one sachet with my best friend or my sister. And keep the other one for the next sesh. One sachet could actually be good for 4 uses – If you use it just on your T-zone.

Prior to putting this on though, please, please, thoroughly clean your face. I usually have a zit or two a day after applying this if I don’t clean up well. My sister doesn’t have any problems with zits though for this product.

Good for: combination to oily skin.

Used for: Oil Control.

Contents: 2 sachets x 6mL

Things to expect:

Texture: Thick, creamy. Things will heat up though once it touches your face. Don’t panic, this is completely normal and it wouldn’t burn your skin even if you leave it on for more than 3 minutes.

Dryness/ No more oil!  – Although your skin will not be purified completely (and definitely wouldn’t feel soft and velvety like when using SkinFood sugar mask!), just like how the product claims, but it will leave your skin feeling dry and oil-free post application. And for me, it felt like that for a good 3-4 days. I also noticed that I became prone to blackheads and  .

My workaround: Make sure to clean your face every morning and evening and use a moisturizer at night. Or use a Moisturizing, Hydrating or Sugar mask on the next day. We want to be oil-free but not too dry as well.

This stuff also doesn’t harden or dry up where you can peel it off so to remove the product, simply wash your face.

Repeat the process after a week or if your skin is like mine, I do this routine twice a week.

Other Cons: I wish it came in a tube. Sachets are messy especially if the other half doesn’t get used up and you have to store it.

Would I buy this again? Yes!

Shawill Two-Way Eyebrow Cake Review

Product review: Shawill Two-Way Eyebrow Cake.

How I came by it:

A month ago, I was strolling through Watsons to look for a mascara and there was this sales lady who offered to give me a makeover using Shawill products.

I was kind of hesitant at first since I had my own (full) make-up on and personally, I just didn’t trust strangers touching my face. Also, Shawill wasn’t a brand that I’m familiar of BUT I haven’t had a makeover done before in the mall and I had enough time on my hands so I agreed to having her redo my makeup. ☺

Experiment time!

She used this for my eyebrows and it was so good because it stayed on my brows for a good 6-7 hours and it wasn’t messy. You could say I’m happy that I had that make over. This is such a great find. Inexpensive too.

Trivia: Shawill is a Philippine-based company with their ingredients coming from Italy.

Shade: 002

(If you think this is too dark they have another lighter than this shade)

Weight: 3.7 g

Other Pros: It’s not messy. I like applying it dry. If you know how to use the brush and not just rub it in, the finish looks clean and matte. and there’s no need to put on a brow mascara after. More natural look than drawing your eyebrows in with a pencil.

Cons: Packaging isn’t anything that looks special and the brush is sturdy but too small.

Will I buy it again? Yes.
